Greetings From Ghana Day 2

Writer's picture: Pastor Tim QuainooPastor Tim Quainoo

In the words of sainted Sis. Minnie Jacques, I greet you with “Jesus’ joy”!

Solid Rock Church, God has been good. I am thank to Jesus for safe travel to Ghana and a wonderful first day in country. I was humbled to offer a presentation at the Bridge Conference, a global gathering of scholars and lay leaders where we listened to lectures and presentations. The Lord met us in a mighty way as I shared about Ministry in the Digital Age. It was a truly powerful discussion!

Today we are starting our journey to Enchi. Enchi is the remote village where my father, Bishop Dr. Joseph Quainoo is from. In Enchi, Bishop is spearheading a national effort of Bible Translation for the people of Enchi, known as the Anyii people.

Please pray for journeying mercies and for revelation on the road as we sing and share (and sleep 🤣) as we travel.

Let me encourage you with some good news! One of the young men who is interning with Bishop Quainoo’s missions organization, Missions Of West Africa (MOWA), came to faith in Jesus yesterday!

This young man comes from a Muslim household. He has been hearing about Jesus from Bishop while serving on the team. But, yesterday he said that “the way the missionaries from the US have treated me has shown me something I didn’t expect.” While we were eating dinner, one of the missions team members, encouraged him to share his story. As he shared, the Holy Spirit led Bishop to explain the gospel in a compelling way to him. Within minutes, this young man came to faith! We prayed and shared encouragement with him. The trip has already been blessed and I’ve only been here for 24 hours!!!

Keep praying, I believe the best is yet to come!

In Christ,

PT
